6 wks:   
Right before I started my 7th week the morning sickness hit, full on.   I had really bad nausea with Aspen all the way until the middle of my 2nd trimester, so I was afraid of how in the world I  would handle it if it lasted that long, trying to take care of little Aspen on top of it.  Luckily, it only lasted for about 5 days and I only actually threw up once. I was so  happy that I got let off so easy. 

The thing that really took a toll on me was being so completely tired all the time.  Luckily, Aspen was only 2 1/2 months and still sleeping quite a bit, so..  I was able to catch naps while she was sleeping as well.  Courtney (5) can be quite the sleeper also so she would nap with us also while Chelcey was in school.  It actually worked out really well.  The only thing that was murder was Aspen was waking up every 3hrs. In the middle of the night to eat, so I was even more tired through-out the day, but..  I managed.

March 27th,  6 wks 5 days:
Today was my first visit to my OB/GYN.  They all looked a little surprise when they called my name (I missed my 6wk post partum check-up with Aspen, and here I was again.. Pregnant!)  They all got quite a chuckle out of that one.  ( :
They do a routine u/s at your first visit to check for fetal heartbeat.  This is always a scary time for me since with the pregnancy before Aspen, there was no heartbeat so that was my fear when I had it done with Aspen and again with this baby.  At first, it looked like an empty yok sac.  And my heart fell to my feet.  Then she zoomed in, zoomed in some more.. And there we go! :) Little bitty heart just beating away! Once I laid eyes on that little thing it made the whole pregnancy real to me.   That night, I announced the pregnancy to Chelcey and Courtney and BOY! We're they EXCITED!!  They've had so much fun helping out and playing with Aspen, Courtney said "Chelcey, you can hold Aspen and I'll get to hold the NEW baby!".  ( :  It was just to sweet for words.

The rest of the weeks went by fast, before I knew it..  I was already entering my 2nd trimester! I guess during a pregnancy with a 5 mo. Old, the time just flew by. Who had time to even think about being pregnant? Certainly not me.
